These terms govern the use of Craftshop, the service provided by Craftshop Labs, [company name and legal entity type of Craftshop Labs], CUIT [CUIT], with its legal address at [legal address], Argentine Republic. When we say “we” we mean Craftshop Labs; when we say “you” we mean the brand or the workshop that uses the service and the people who use it on its behalf.
By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms. If you accept them on behalf of a brand or a workshop, you declare that you can bind it. If you signed particular conditions in writing with Craftshop Labs, those conditions prevail over these terms wherever they differ.
How we process personal data is explained in the Privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
The service
Craftshop is an on-demand production service for 3D-printed products. It is software: it organizes the work between your online store and whoever prints, checks and ships each piece. With Craftshop you can:
- Connect your store. Today Craftshop connects to Shopify as a fulfillment service: the store assigns it the 3D-printed products of each paid order.
- Upload your models once. Each product in the store is linked to the models that have to be printed to make it.
- Turn each sale into jobs. Each order is split into one print job per piece, with its status, from the moment it arrives until it ships.
- Approve a golden sample. For each model and each workshop a sample is printed, reference photos are taken and the brand approves it. That approval locks the material, the profile and the printer; if any of them changes, it has to be approved again.
- Check each piece with photos. Before shipping, each piece is photographed and a person approves the photos. No approved check, no shipment.
- Ship with tracking. Whoever ships enters the carrier and the tracking number, and Craftshop reports them to your store so your buyer sees them there.
What Craftshop does not do, so there is no doubt:
- Craftshop Labs does not print or ship: your team or the workshop you work with does.
- It does not sell anything to your buyers or set the prices of your store.
- It does not collect or hold the money from your sales, as the section The money from your sales explains.
- It does not generate shipping labels or hire carriers for you.
We will keep improving the service, so some features may change. If we remove a feature you use to operate, we will notify you in advance as the section Changes to these terms provides. We work to keep the service available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance, or because of failures of the providers that host it or of the platforms it connects to.
Accounts and organizations
You sign in to Craftshop with your Google account. Keeping access to that account safe is your responsibility, and what is done with your session is considered done by you. If you suspect someone got in without permission, let us know at [contact email].
Each brand and each workshop is an organization. A person can belong to several organizations and in each one has one of these roles:
| Role | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing and who is a member. |
| Admin | Catalog, stores, orders and members. No billing. |
| Operator | Print jobs, quality checks and shipments. |
Whoever creates the organization is its owner. Owners and admins invite the people they need and assign them a role; the organization answers for what its members do within the service.
Each organization sees only its own data. When you connect your store, you authorize us to read its orders and to report shipments and tracking to it. You can disconnect it whenever you want from the app.
If you want to leave
You can stop using Craftshop and close your organization whenever you want, with no penalty. Before closing it you should disconnect the store and finish or cancel the jobs in progress, because orders left open will not be shipped through Craftshop.
Acceptable use
Use Craftshop only to produce and ship the products you sell lawfully. In particular, you may not:
- Upload models, trademarks, characters or images you have no rights to, or products that copy other people’s designs.
- Produce weapons or weapon parts with Craftshop, or products whose manufacture or sale is prohibited.
- Use your buyers’ data for anything other than producing, shipping and handling their orders.
- Try to access other organizations’ data, bypass the access or role controls, or disrupt the service.
- Use the service in an automated way to extract information, except through the integrations Craftshop offers.
If you do not follow these rules, we may suspend the account or the organization. We will notify you first, tell you why and give you a reasonable period to fix it, unless the situation is serious or urgent, for example a risk to other organizations or to your buyers, or an order from an authority. In that case we suspend first and notify you right away.
Your files and models
Your 3D models, your files, the photos of your samples and your quality checks, and your catalog data are yours. Using Craftshop does not make you give up any right over them.
So that we can provide the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive and royalty-free license to store, process and print those files, within these limits:
- Only to provide you the service: storing them, showing them in the app, generating previews, calculating production data and delivering them to the workshop you choose to print them.
- Only while you use the service: the license ends when you delete the file or close your organization.
- No other use: we do not publish your models, we do not give them to anyone who does not have to print them, we do not sell them and we do not use them to train artificial intelligence models.
Files are kept in private storage and downloaded through signed links that expire. When you delete a model or close your organization, we delete its files within [file deletion period], except what a law requires us to keep.
By uploading a model you declare that you have the rights to print it and sell it. If someone claims that one of your models infringes their rights, we will notify you and may pause its production while it is cleared up.
Subscription and payments
Today we do not sell plans on this site and the app does not charge you anything. The plans, their prices and what each one includes are [plans and prices, to be defined].
When there are paid plans, before charging you, you will see the price, the currency, what the plan includes, how often it is charged and how to cancel it, and nothing is charged without your acceptance. The subscription charge will be processed by [subscription payment provider], and Craftshop Labs will issue [invoice type and tax status of Craftshop Labs].
If we change the price of a plan you already have, we will notify you in advance as the section Changes to these terms provides, and you can cancel it before the new price takes effect.
The money from your sales
The money from your sales does not go through Craftshop. Your buyer pays your store, with the payment methods your store has set up, and that money goes straight to your account. Craftshop does not collect, hold or split the price of your products or the shipping your buyer pays.
If you work with a workshop, you pay that workshop whatever you agree between you. Craftshop may record production prices, the real cost of each shipment and your margins so you can see them in one place, but those figures are for information only: they do not move money, they are not an invoice and they do not replace what you agree with the workshop.
Production and shipping
Each piece is produced by your team or by the workshop you work with, with the material, the profile and the printer locked by the approved golden sample. The golden sample and the photo check are tools to keep quality consistent, but the approval is made by people in your organization or in the workshop, and whoever produces answers for the piece they make.
Shipping is done by whoever ships, with their own account at the carrier, which may be yours or the workshop’s:
- Your buyer pays you for shipping at your store’s checkout.
- The carrier account, yours or the workshop’s, pays the carrier for shipping. If the account is the workshop’s, the workshop passes the real cost on to you as you agree.
- The carrier answers for the parcel from the moment it receives it until it delivers it, under its own conditions.
- Craftshop records the carrier, the tracking number and the shipment status, and reports them to your store.
Your relationship with your buyers is yours: you are the one who sells to them, and the warranties, exchanges and returns of your products are governed by what you offer in your store and by the law.
Liability
Craftshop Labs answers for providing the service as these terms describe, with the diligence of a professional software provider, and for the damage it causes when it does not.
We do not answer for what we do not control:
- Failures, changes or suspensions of your online store, of Google or of other platforms Craftshop connects to.
- What workshops, carriers and other third parties do, including the quality of the pieces they produce and the condition of the parcels they carry.
- The content of the models and the data that you or the members of your organization upload.
- Fortuitous events or force majeure.
Except as the next paragraph provides, our total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid Craftshop Labs for the service in the [number of months] before the event that gives rise to it, or [minimum amount of the cap] if that amount is lower, and does not include lost profits.
These limits do not apply to damage we cause with intent or gross negligence, or to what the law does not allow to be limited. Nor do they limit the rights you have if you are a consumer, as the next section explains.
Consumer protection
Craftshop is a service for people who sell, and in general whoever uses it for their commercial activity is not a consumer. If you are still a consumer under Ley 24.240, the Consumer Protection Law, you have every right that law gives you and nothing in these terms limits them.
Among those rights is the right to revoke a service contracted at a distance within ten calendar days from the day you contracted it, at no cost and without having to give a reason (article 34 of Ley 24.240 and article 1110 of the Código Civil y Comercial, the Argentine Civil and Commercial Code).
How you will be able to request that revocation or cancel a plan from this site is a [decision on the withdrawal button and the cancellation button]. Until there are paid plans, you can request either one by writing to [contact email].
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we publish the new version on this page with its update date. If the change affects you in an important way, for example in what the service does, in the price or in your rights, we notify you by email [notice period] before it takes effect.
If you do not agree with the change, you can stop using Craftshop and close your organization before it takes effect, with no penalty. If you keep using it afterwards, the new version applies. Changes never apply to events before they take effect.
These terms are in force from [effective date].
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic.
If a disagreement arises, write to us first to try to settle it in good faith. If we cannot, the [jurisdiction: courts of …] have jurisdiction, unless you are a consumer, in which case the jurisdiction rules the law sets in your favor apply.
